Crazy Quilt Christmas Stocking

A Christmas stocking I did in 1994 for my son, his wife, and my first grandchild.  Part of the fabric was from table decorations used at their wedding.  The lace is antique lace I found in England.  The rectangular red and green beads are antique glass beads found in a flea market.  At the right is some detail from the stocking.

Crazy Quilt Treasure Bag

The front and back of a treasure bag made for my daughter-in-law with a photo of her first baby (my first grandchild) on the front.  I used the "Picture This" transfer medium for the photo.  Fabrics include silk, satin, velvet, moire, voile, and men's suiting.  Embroidery work is done by hand using silk and rayon threads.

Crazy Quilt Memorabilia Quilt

My first crazy quilt project from 1994...A memorabilia quilt for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary.  I worked on this quilt for two years and barely got it finished in time.  At the left, is a wedding photo on the anniversary quilt.  Bits of antique lace "couched" with silk buttonhole twist.  At the right, is more detail from the anniversary quilt.  Transfers of wedding photos of myself and my sons, plus my grandson and my sister.
