Crazy Quilt Ocean Landscape |
The ocean scene is my second attempt at doing a "landscape" piece. I took a class from Judith Montano las year at
the CQ Conference on landscapes and fell in love with it...now to try to do them. The fabric used was a shimmering piece that ranged in color from light greens to dark purples and lent itself well to
this piece. Many types of thread were used and embroidery stitching and couching were utilized. Beads, charms and many other things were added. |

Crazy Quilt Beach Landscape |
The beach scene is my third attempt at this art form and I used Judith Montano as my teacher here, too. Currently I
am doing some donation blocks for the raffle we hold at the CQ Conference in Omaha in July. The money raised from the quilts made from these blocks goes to Breast Cancer Research. I have been
doing crazy quilting since 1997. A nurse friend brought a crazy quilt her grandmother had made several years ago and I was hooked. I quickly abandoned "sane" quilting in hot pursuit of crazy
quilting. |
