5th panel - Is the central one and it is basically floral with ribbon roses and floral sequins as well as one large fantasy flower in mauve executed
in string art fashion twining its way through this panel and spilling over into the border area around the central pattern with its buds and leaves. 6th panel - Middle left is a winter one - the central shield
depicts a snowflake and some of the embroidery is done to look like icicles.
7th panel - Lower left is my fiance's favorite - it has a large ship in trapunto complete with rigging done in gold thread with a
tiny Canadian flag on top. The central shield is a lifebouy and an anchor is embroidered on this panel.
8th panel - Middle bottom depicts summertime activities - baseball, fishing, and butterfly
catching. The central shield has a rose tree on it.
9th panel - Lower right depicts the musical side of a man's personality - there is a drum, violin, and bass clef. The central shield depicts a
musical note and above this panel in the border is a trumpet with gold cord hanging down over the panel.
The entire quilt is joined together with 4" borders of green velveteen. The panels are made of
purple and navy blue velvet as well as gold, white, light blue, and green satin. Liberally embellished with lace and ribbon as well as strand embroidery, this was a lot of fun and a labor of love
